Sorry Day 2016

Sorry Day 2016 was an amazing event with thousands of people coming down to Wellington Square to participate in the activities. Check out the video from the day:

The Western Australian Sorry Day event is coordinated by Reconciliation WA on behalf of the Bringing Them Home Committee (WA) and we have lots of great activities planned again this year.
Reconciliation WA is a not-for-profit organisation providing leadership, advocacy and support to people and organisations driving the movement for reconciliation in Western Australia (WA).
The Bringing Them Home Committee (WA) Inc. is working towards the recognition and healing of the pain caused by the removal of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children from their families.
The WA Sorry Day event is now the largest event of its kind across Australia. The event is open to the whole community and is attended by over 2,000 people.
The event includes Welcome to Country and smoking ceremonies from community elders; cultural performances and workshops; and shared experiences of healing and reconciliation from schools, students and community leaders.
